We're passionate about

Empowering migrant domestic workers

We offer a variety of programs to support mental and emotional health and wellbeing for migrant domestic workers in Hong Kong.

There are over 350,000 domestic workers in Hong Kong, primarily women from the Philippines and Indonesia. These workers often face challenging working conditions, limited legal protections, and social isolation. In a 2023 survey by a HK-based charity, 1 in 25 domestic workers reported experiencing physical abuse. Research from another survey showed 17.7% suffering from anxiety, and 30.8% from depression, highlighting the crucial need for mental health support.

Self-Love Sundays

In 2023, we launched a series to support mental well-being and emotional health for MDWs in collaboration with local support networks and organisations. Our collaboration partners include Indonesian charity Peduli Kasih, 49,000 member strong community network Social Justice for Migrant Workers, and Indonesian peer support group Self-Love Cupid. Workshops have featured Open Awareness, emotional release, hatha yoga, and meditation.

Self-Love Series

In collaboration with the Self-Love Cupid community, we offered a 4-part series on Self-Love in 2024. Over the course of several weeks, students explored the topics of Open Awareness & Emotional Release, Self-Confidence, Self-Acceptance, and Self-Love. During the program (4 classes, 8 hours) participants learned techniques to release stress and how to have a healthy relationship with emotions, becoming empowered with tools for inner harmony and wellbeing.

Mental well-being for refugees & ethnic minorities

We offer workshops to support asylum seekers and low-income ethnic minority individuals in learning to release stress and improve inner well-being.

In partnership with local charity Grassroots Future, we've offered an ongoing meditation series to support mental well-being for refugees, using the Open Awareness method to release stress and come into relaxation and peace.

In a collaboration with The Zubin Foundation, we’ve offered classes and 1:1 sessions to support low-income ethnic minority women in Hong Kong, covering the topics of stress release, emotional health, and self-love and teaching Open Awareness as a method to achieve greater mental clarity and peace.

Supporting NGO & charity staff

We offer events and workshops to support those in service.

IIn an initiative to support fellow NGOs and charitable organisations, we offer pro-bono well-being workshops for executives, employees and their communities. Some of our previous events have included a custom meditation session in nature for employee wellness day, a in-office class on stress release, a community workshop for NGO volunteers, and an Open Awareness class for social enterprises. Classes can be held in both English & Cantonese.
